Stefan Eduard Hessheimer (born May 19, 1952 in Leipzig ) is a German photographer .

Life

Stefan Hessheimer is the son of the graphic artist, caricaturist and animator Eduard Hessheimer . He grew up in Leipzig, Dresden and Berlin and now lives in Groß Neuendorf im Oderbruch .

Hessheimer completed a use recruiters teaching , but never worked in this profession. He has been working as a freelance photographer since 1978. Until 1990 he photographed for magazines and journals ( Neues Leben , Melodie und Rhythmus , Das Magazin , Kultur im Heim , until 1992 Neues Wohnen , Elternhaus und Schule ), book publishers and record covers. At the same time, thematic photographic works were created, which were shown in exhibitions. In 1994 he founded the Edition Edisohn publishing house, which publishes his own photographic work.

In 2000, Hessheimer founded the "Koch und Kunst" gallery, where he organizes photography courses.
