Stefan Jambo

Stefan Franz Jambo (born August 2, 1958 in Schifferstadt ) is a former German soccer player .

Active career

The attacking midfielder began his career at FSV Schifferstadt . In 1979 he moved to the 2nd Bundesliga for FC 08 Homburg and two years later for 1. FC Saarbrücken , with whom he was promoted to the Bundesliga in 1985. On August 10, 1985, Stefan Jambo made his debut against Borussia Dortmund in the first division. In 1986 he briefly joined 1. FC Nürnberg and then returned to the then also first-class FC Homburg, to which he belonged until 1988.

He then had engagements at 1. FSV Mainz 05 , the Norwegian club Mjøndalen IF and Blau-Weiß 90 Berlin until he ended his career in 1992.

In total, Stefan Jambo made 64 appearances in the Bundesliga (he scored six goals for 1. FC Saarbrücken, two goals for FC 08 Homburg and one for 1. FC Nürnberg) and 170 games in the second division .

Others

After his active career, Jambo lived in Norway for a few years before he returned to his homeland in Schifferstadt . There he is currently training the FSV 13/23 Schifferstadt . He is also working again in his old profession as a tiler and runs an independent company in Schifferstadt.
