Stefan Klett (born June 23, 1967 in Wipperfürth ) is a German sports official. He has been President of the German Aero Club since April 2019 and President of the State Sports Association of North Rhine-Westphalia (LSB NRW) since January 2020 .

biography

education and profession

Stefan Klett attended Engelbert-von-Berg-Gymnasium Wipperfürth and graduated in 1986 with the general university entrance qualification. He then did his military service with the Air Force in Nörvenich . In 1988 he first studied business administration in Cologne , before starting a technical degree in Düsseldorf in 1993 . He graduated in 1997 as a state-certified technician in the field of air conditioning. Since then he has worked as a sales manager in the field of building technology and is now NRW Key Account Manager. He is married and has two daughters.

Sporty way of life

Since 1981 Stefan Klett has been deeply rooted in air sports in North Rhine-Westphalia, with association work and its structures. Since 1981 member of the local air sports club Wipperfürth - active glider and motor pilot. From 1989 to 1991 he was regional youth leader of the association. He was also vice-president of the AEROCLUB NRW between 1991 and 1994 and from 2001 to 2008. Between 2008 and 2019 he was its president.
