Stefan Manner

Stefan Manier (born December 1, 1970 in Bad Pyrmont ) is a German chef .

Career

After his training from 1987 to 1990 at the Hotel Bergkurpark in Bad Pyrmont , Manier worked in various establishments in St. Moritz , Vienna , Rome and Lucerne . From 1996 to 1999 he cooked under Heinz Winkler in the 3 Michelin stars excellent Residenz Heinz Winkler in Aschau. From 1999 to 2000 he worked as head chef in the Gut Ising restaurant in Chieming and in 2002 switched to the Ars Vivendi restaurant in the Hotel Jagdhof Glashütte in Bad Laasphe , which under his management was rated one star in the Michelin Guide. Since 2005 he has been running the Gasthaus Stromberg in Waltrop with his business partner Holger Stromberg .

Awards

In 2003, Manier was recognized by the Schlemmer Atlas together with 9 other German chefs for “special culinary achievements”, and in the same year Manier was nominated for the “Newcomer of the Year” award by Der Feinschmecker magazine .

In 2010 the Gasthaus Stromberg was awarded a BIB Gourmand by the Michelin Guide under Manier's direction . The Feinschmecker awarded 2 "F", the Schlemmer Atlas rated the restaurant 2.5 out of 5 cutlery.
