Stefan Michał Kwiatkowski

Stefan Michał Kwiatkowski (born January 21, 1948 in Lisewo Malborskie, a suburb of Tczew in Pomerania ) is a Polish pedagogue, honorary doctor of the Pedagogical University in Krakow .

After completing his engineering studies at the Technical University of Warsaw in 1971, he received a doctorate in technical sciences at the same university and in 1989 the doctorate in humanistic sciences at the Humboldt University in Berlin with Karl-Friedrich Wessel .

From 1987 to 1991 he held the post of Deputy Director of the Institute of Economic and Social Sciences at the Warsaw University of Technology. Since 1991 he has headed the Institute for Educational Research of the Ministry of National Education as Deputy Director and since 1993 as Director. He heads the Chair for Work Education and Andragogy at the Maria Grzegorzewska Academy for Special Education in Warsaw .

Since 1993 he has been an expert at the International Labor Organization , one of the specialized agencies of the United Nations .

In 1994 he was appointed Professor of Humanistic Sciences. From 1994 to 1999 he was a board member of the PHARE program of the European Union , from 1997 to 1999 a member of the board of the consortium SMART Program - Strategic Measures for Achieving Reform Targets, since 1997 of the advisory team of the EFT - European Training Foundation.

He wrote 490 papers, was PhD supervisor of 43 doctoral students . He was u. a. awarded the Cavalier and Officer's Cross of the Order of Polonia Restituta .
