Stefan Neuberger (cameraman)

Stefan Neuberger (* 1983 in Nuremberg ) is a German cameraman and film director .

Life

Stefan Neuberger studied documentary directing at the Baden-Württemberg Film Academy in Ludwigsburg . In 2016 he took part in the Berlinale Talents program.

He was nominated for the German Camera Prize for his camera work on the documentaries Meanwhile in Mamelodi (2012) and In der Kaserne (2020) .

In 2012 the camera work on his first feature film Sleepless Knights premiered in the Forum of the Berlinale . In 2019, the documentary Heimat ist ein Raum aus Zeit , directed by Thomas Heise , was released, screened at numerous international festivals and received multiple awards, including the Grand Prize at Vision Du Réel , the Caligari Film Prize at the Berlinale and the German Documentary Film Prize 2019 .

In 2019, the state and site , directed by Ute Adamczewski, first celebrated its international premiere at the FID Marseille and was honored there with the Prix Premiere, then the film had its German premiere at the DOK Leipzig , where it won the Golden Dove in the German competition and the Verdi Film Prize was awarded.
