Stefan Petrovic (born September 8, 1993 ) is an Austrian football player .

Career

society

Petrovic began his career at KSV Ankerbrot Montelaa . In 2002 he moved to 1. Simmeringer SC . In 2004 he joined the youth team at SK Rapid Wien , where he later played in the academy. In the summer of 2009 he moved to Germany to Hertha BSC .

After he had previously played for the A-Juniors, he made his debut in March 2012 for the second team of Hertha in the Regionalliga , when he was in the starting line-up on the 18th matchday of the 2011/12 season against 1. FC Magdeburg .

In the summer of 2012 Petrovic returned to Austria, where he joined the Bundesliga club SC Wiener Neustadt . However, after he hadn't played a single game for the Lower Austrians in the first half of the season, he was awarded to the regional division FC Pasching in January 2013 . With the Pasching team he won the ÖFB Cup in the 2012/13 season . After the end of the season he was taken under contract by the Upper Austrians.

Petrovic made his international debut for the regional league team in August 2013 when he started the first leg of the Europa League playoff against GD Estoril Praia .

For the 2014/15 season he moved to the second division club FC Liefering . He made his debut in the second division in July 2014 when he came on as a substitute for Manuel Haas in the 76th minute against Floridsdorfer AC on the second matchday of that season . After a season in which Petrovic had only played five games for Salzburg, he left the club.

In August 2015 he moved to Slovenia to the first division club NK Zavrč . He made his debut in the Prva Liga in September 2015 when he played through against FC Koper . After ten games for the Slovenes, he left the club in January 2016.

After six months without a club, Petrovic returned to Austria for the 2016/17 season, where he joined the regional league team ASK Ebreichsdorf .

National team

Petrovic played for the first time in 2008 for an Austrian youth national team. In September 2011 he made his debut against Bosnia and Herzegovina for the U-19 team when he was used over the full distance.
