Stefan Schneider (born April 7, 1962 in Munich ) is a German stadium announcer and former radio host .

From 1978 to 1984 Schneider was employed as a music editor and broadcast assistant at Bayerischer Rundfunk . Here he mainly worked on live broadcasts with Thomas Gottschalk and Jürgen Herrmann. From April 1, 1984 he was a presenter at the Munich station Radio M1 , after which he was active for a short time on radio . He then moderated the program C-Connection on Radio C Südtirol and Radio C Munich . From 1986 he was with Radio Xanadu for two years . In 1988 he went to the Nuremberg hit Radio N1 with a few colleagues . Then he came back to Munich and moderated for 89 Hit FM and Radio Gong 96.3 . In 1992 he returned to Radio Xanadu, which was renamed Energy Munich in 1994 after the station had been taken over by the NRJ Group . Schneider stayed with Radio Energy until 1998, after which he moderated for Radio Gong for another year and ended his moderation activity in 1999. Today he runs an advertising agency.

Stefan Schneider has been stadium announcer for TSV 1860 Munich since August 1993 , only in the 1999/2000 season he did not hold this position. The advertising slogan “Munich's Great Love” goes back to one of his announcements. There is a “healthy rivalry” between him and Stephan Lehmann , the stadium announcer of the city rival FC Bayern . For example, the two regularly bet on the outcome in the run-up to derbies . In the run-up to the 2006 World Cup , Schneider was in discussion as the stadium announcer for the World Cup games in the Allianz Arena , but in the end Lehmann was given this task. In 2016, Schneider became the security spokesman for the German national soccer team .

Since 1990 he has also been the hall spokesman for the respective Munich ice hockey club, first at EC Hedos , later at ESC , the Munich Barons and EHC Munich . He has been the gang spokesperson for Red Bull Munich since 2013 . From 2009 to 2011 he was also the hall spokesman for the German national team at the Deutschland Cup .

At the annual Munich Oktoberfest , Schneider has been moderating the grand finale of the Oktoberfest in the Bräurosl together with the Lord Mayor of the City of Munich and the head of the Munich Breweries Association since 2008 .
