Stefan Winges

Stefan Winges (born July 17, 1957 in Rheydt ) is a German author of detective novels and radio plays .

Life

Winges studied philosophy , German and comparative literature in Bonn . He works as an antiquarian and teacher for kung fu and lives as a freelance author in Cologne.

The novel Honolulu Baby was published in 2002 in the Cologne crime thriller series by Emons Verlag and was nominated for the Friedrich Glauser Prize in 2003 . In addition, Winges wrote two novels about Sherlock Holmes , in which he ends up on the Rhine: The fourth king and death on the Rhine . The main character of his novels A Three-Cup Problem , Murder in the Africa Club and Sweet Alibi is Marius van Larken, a Cologne-based contemporary and counterpart of the London master detective.

A three-cup problem was originally conceived as a radio play and was broadcast by WDR at the end of 2008 .

Stefan Winges is a member of the Cologne-Düsseldorf Crime Committee
