Stefan von der Beck (born June 10, 1964 in Hamburg ) is a German judge , ministerial official and political official . Since November 22, 2017 he has been State Secretary in the Lower Saxony Ministry of Justice .

Life

From Beck graduated from 1985 to 1990 a Studied law at the Ludwig Maximilian University of Munich and the University of Würzburg , be put first state examination in 1990, his second state examination in 1993, and received his doctorate in 1994 for Dr. iur. As a result, the lawyer was a probationary judge between 1994 and 1998 and a public prosecutor and judge in the Oldenburg Higher Regional Court between 1994 and 2002 . In 2003 he was appointed judge at the Oldenburg Higher Regional Court.

At the beginning of 2006, von der Beck was seconded to the Lower Saxony Ministry of Justice , where he worked as a section head in the personnel affairs department . In April 2007 he was Councilor, Executive in December 2007 Ministerial and got the same time the post of permanent representative of the Head of Department I transferred. In 2009 the lawyer returned to the Oldenburg Higher Regional Court, where he became head of the Lower Saxony outpatient judicial social service before he was appointed presiding judge there in 2014 . He held this post until November 2017. Between 2009 and 2017 he was a deputy member of the Lower Saxony State Court .

On November 22, 2017, Stefan von der Beck was appointed State Secretary in the Lower Saxony Ministry of Justice by Minister Barbara Havliza in the course of the formation of the Weil II cabinet . He became Stefanie Otte's successor .
