Stefania Biegun (born August 11, 1935 in Wieprz ; † December 10, 2016 in Wetlina ) was a Polish cross-country skier .

Career

Biegun, who started for AZS Kraków and the start of Zakopane , made its first international appearance at the Nordic World Ski Championships in Lahti in 1958 . There she came in 16th place over 10 km and fourth place with the relay. At the 1960 Winter Olympics in Squaw Valley , she finished 13th over 10 km and fourth place with the relay. Two years later she was fourth with the relay at the Nordic World Ski Championships in Zakopane and won the silver medal with the relay and the gold medal over 7.5 km at the Winter Universiade in Villars-sur-Ollon . At the Olympic Winter Games in Innsbruck in 1964 , she ran in 18th place over 10 km, 14th place over 5 km and seventh place with the relay. At the end of February 1966, she again achieved seventh place with the relay at the Nordic World Ski Championships in Oslo . She completed her last international race at the 1968 Winter Olympics in Grenoble . There she took 19th place over 10 km, ninth place over 5 km and fifth place with the relay. She has won 26 Polish championships.

At Polish championships, Biegun won eight times over 5 km (1961–1964, 1966–1968, 1970), 10 km (1960–1964, 1966, 1967, 1970) and with the relay (1962–1969).
