Stefania Centrone (* 5. August 1975 in Bari ) is in Germany working Italian philosopher .

biography

Centrone studied philosophy at the University of Florence from 1995 to 1999 . In 2004 he completed his doctorate at the Scuola Normale Superiore in Pisa with Ettore Casari and Kevin Mulligan, and in 2012 a habilitation at the University of Hamburg for philosophy and in 2013 another in Italy for logic , philosophy of science and history of science .

From 2009 to 2010 Centrone was a research assistant at the Philosophical Seminar of the University of Hamburg with Wolfgang Künne and in 2013 at the Institute for Philosophy at the Carl von Ossietzky University in Oldenburg with Mark Siebel , where she worked on Bolzano's and Husserl's development until 2017 at a position funded by the German Research Foundation researched von Leibniz's ideas on Mathesis Universalis .

In 2016 she also represented the professorship for theoretical philosophy at the Georg-August-Universität Göttingen and worked as a research assistant at the Carl von Ossietzky University of Oldenburg and as a senior researcher at the University of Helsinki from 2017 to 2018 , before taking on a Heisenberg position at the Institute for Philosophy, Literature, Science and Technology History at the Technical University of Berlin .

Research priorities

Centrone's main research areas include theoretical philosophy, in particular the philosophy of language and epistemology , the early history of analytical philosophy in Bolzano, Frege and Husserl, as well as logic , philosophy of mind , especially theories of intentionality , and the philosophy of mathematics .
