Stefanie Tschegg

Stefanie Tschegg (born July 7, 1943 in Graz ) is an Austrian physicist and professor emeritus at the University of Natural Resources and Life Sciences, Vienna .

Life

Tschegg received her doctorate from the University of Vienna in 1971. From 1980 to 1981 she was an associate visiting professor at the Massachusetts Institute of Technology . She completed her habilitation in physics in 1982. In 1989 she became Professor of Physics at the University of Natural Resources and Life Sciences, Vienna .

research

Her main research interests are structural, mechanical and fracture mechanical properties of various materials as well as the development and application of material testing methods; in particular ultrasound-based methods.
