Stefano Sacchetti (born August 10, 1972 in Modena ) is a former Italian football player and current coach .

The defender began his career in 1991 at FC Modena in Serie B . In 1992 he moved to Sampdoria in the Serie A . With Genoa he won the Coppa Italia in 1993/94 under Sven-Göran Eriksson . The Supercup Finals in 1994 went against AC Milan lost on penalties. At the 1994/95 European Cup Winners' Cup , Sacchetti reached the semifinals with Genoa, where they were eliminated again after a penalty shoot-out against Arsenal . In 1997 he moved to Piacenza Calcio . With the club he was relegated to Serie B in 2000. 2001 succeeded the direct rise again. However, Sacchetti had already tested positive for nandrolone in a doping control in September 2000 and was therefore banned for four months from May 2001. But Piacenza held on to him and was able to hold the class. In 2002 he went back to Sampdoria Genoa, which were now second class. In 2003 Genoa made the rise. After two years in Serie A, Sacchetti moved to second division Mantova FC in 2005 , where he played until the end of his career in 2009.

Stefano Sacchetti has been working as a youth coach at his hometown club FC Modena since 2009.
