Tour of Styria

The Steiermark-Rundfahrt (also Select Tour Steiermark since 2002 ) is a cycle race in several stages organized by the Styrian Regional Cycling Association .

Invited foreign teams as well as Austrian club or mixed teams in the "Elite / U 23" category are eligible to participate. The tour usually goes over four stages. The 2006 tour had a total length of around 550 km.

history

The traditional Styria tour with overall winners such as Uwe Peschel (1994) and Tobias Steinhauser (1995) was no longer held between 1999 and 2001. In 2002 it was revived and since then has been officially known as the International Select Tour Styria . It is after the Tour of Austria 's second largest cycling race in Austria.
