Stein is a village and a cadastral municipality in the municipality of Dellach im Drautal in the Spittal an der Drau district in Carinthia .
Settlement development
At the turn of the year 1979/1980 there was a total of 69 building areas with 14,113 m² and 41 gardens on 52,149 m² in the cadastral community of Stein , in 1989/1990 there were 80 building areas. In 1999/2000 the number of building areas had grown to 127 and in 2009/2010 there were 96 buildings on 132 building areas.
Land use
The cadastral community is shaped by forestry. 147 hectares were used for agriculture at the turn of the year 1979/1980 and 2090 hectares were forest areas. In 1999/2000 agriculture was carried out on 146 hectares and 2101 hectares were designated as forest areas.
