Steinbach is a district of the Marktleugast market in the Upper Franconian district of Kulmbach in Bavaria .

Steinbach is located about two kilometers southeast of the municipality of Marktleugast and is connected to it by the KU 27 district road and the 289 federal road .

In 1976 Steinbach and Roth were reclassified to Marktleugast. Before that it belonged to the Marienweiher community . In 1987 Steinbach had 104 inhabitants; today there are 115 in 42 households.
