Marienweiher is a part of the market Marktleugast in the Upper Franconian district of Kulmbach in Bavaria .
location
The village is located in the southern Franconian Forest , about one kilometer south of the village Marktleugast and is across the county road directly connected KU 27 with it. The Leugastbach, a tributary of the Great Koserbach, flows through the place partially piped . The Franconian Marienweg runs through Marienweiher .

In 1977 Marienweiher was incorporated into Marktleugast. In 1987 391 inhabitants lived in the place, today there are about 340 in about 180 households.
Attractions
The Marienweiher basilica is located in Marienweiher and is one of the oldest Marian pilgrimage churches in Germany.
