Roth is part of the Marktleugast market in the Upper Franconian district of Kulmbach .

The hamlet is on the KU 27 district road between Stammbach and Steinbach . Before it was incorporated into Marktleugast, the place belonged to the Marienweiher community in the Stadtsteinach district . In the inventory of Karl-Ludwig Lippert , a stable house with a gable roof was recorded. The door frame has decorative pilasters as a special feature , the initials on the apex refer to Johann Pezold in 1775. The place appears in a letter from Bamberg Bishop Albrecht von Wertheim in 1406 with the name "Rode" as a desert .
