Steine is a district of the municipality of Luckau (Wendland) in the Lüchow-Dannenberg district in Lower Saxony .
The village is located on the L 261 state road northwest of the core area of Luckau between the B 493, which runs north, and the B 71 . Southeast of stones lies the 25 ha large nature reserve salt Flora area at Schreyahn .
economy
The company Vogler meat headquartered in stones was one of the largest employers in the region and one of the largest slaughterhouses in Germany. The operation was in 2017 in the bankruptcy .
history
On July 1, 1972, stones was incorporated into the community of Luckau.
