The stone box on the Lundskullen (hill) is located near Södra Härene in the province of Västergötland in Sweden . The hill, on which there are also 40 menhirs , several stone circles and roasts and a Treudd , belongs to a burial ground from the Iron Age , while the two stone boxes as the oldest monuments on the square are Neolithic and date from around 3000 BC. BC originated.

The southern large megalithic stone box is near Fötene Östergård. It is ten meters long and three meters wide. The access was to the south with a slight turn to the east. While the side bearing stones and one end stone are almost completely preserved, the access stone and all cap stones of the megalithic complex are missing .

A second half-ruined stone box is about 100 meters to the east.

Nearby

Not far from Lundskullen is the medieval church ruin of Södra Härene . At the church, on Jättakullen, lies Sweden’s largest stone box, 14 meters long, the stone box by Södra Härene .
