Lundskullen burial ground
The Lundskullen burial ground (also called the Lunda kulle burial ground ) is located near the E 20 road in Södra Härene north of Vårgårda in Västergötland in Sweden .
description
On the Lundskullen hill, described by Gustaf Ewald (1884–1976) in 1925, there is a burial ground with 40 higher building stones , over 20 other monuments ( stone setting , a Treudd of about 10.0 m edge length, a preserved Domarring ) and two Neolithic stone boxes .
There are three other low hills nearby and 18 low rock settings further south. The types of graves indicate that the burial ground (apart from the stone boxes) was used during the Vendel Period (550–800 AD) and possibly during the early Viking Age (800–1050 AD).
