The Steinkopf is a 527 meter high mountain in the Palatinate Forest around seven kilometers southwest of Bad Dürkheim . Immediately to the south are the ruins of Schaudichnichtum Castle ; One kilometer to the north is Kehrdichannasst Castle, which is now used as a forester's house . Below the south-eastern slope of the mountain, the Schwabenbach flows through the Hammelstal. The mountain is completely within the boundaries of the city of Bad Dürkheim.
