The Schaudichnichtum hunting lodge, southwest of Bad Dürkheim ( Rhineland-Palatinate ), like the neighboring hunting lodges Kehrdichannasst , Murrmirnichtviel and Jägerthal, was an accommodation for the nobility of the Electorate of the Palatinate of the 18th century when they hunted in the Palatinate Forest .

Today the hunting lodge is in ruins; only small remains of the foundation wall, traces of terrain and a memorial stone have survived.

history

The hunting lodge was probably built in 1730 by Baron Jakob Tillmann von Hallberg from Fußgönheim , who had leased the corresponding hunting grounds from the Elector . The destruction probably took place in 1793, when the French Revolution attacked what is now the Palatinate .

The original name of the hunting lodge is no longer known. The local population gave the ruin a new name in the 19th century, which was based on the existing names of the neighboring houses Kehrdichannasst and Murrmirnichtviel, and so "Schaudichnichtum" was created.

In 1963 the hunting lodge, which had belonged to the former Royal Bavarian Forestry Area from 1816 , was placed under the State Palace Administration of Rhineland-Palatinate.

Based on the historical Palatinate hunting lodges Kehrdichannicht , Schaudichnichtum and Murrmirnichtviel , the Palatinate NS Gauleiter Josef Bürckel named his hunting lodge Lassmichinruh, which was built near Ramsen around 1935 .
