Location of Steinsdorf in Bavaria

Steinsdorf is a district of the community of Schönbrunn in the Steigerwald (Bamberg district) with around 300 inhabitants.

The village is located in the Steigerwald , about two kilometers east of Schönbrunn. The Diedenbachl, a tributary of the Rauhen Ebrach , flows through the village. The next larger town is Burgebrach, five kilometers south . The state road St 2279 and the St 2262 leading to Burgebrach cross in the village.

The town's Catholic chapel with a roof turret was built around 1900.

history

On May 1, 1978, the previously independent community of Steinsdorf was incorporated into the community of Schönbrunn in the Steigerwald.
