Zettmannsdorf is a district of the community of Schönbrunn in the Steigerwald in the Upper Franconian district of Bamberg with 164 inhabitants.

geography

Zettmannsdorf is located on the middle reaches of the Rauhen Ebrach , 1.5 kilometers east of Halbersdorf and one kilometer west of Oberneuses.

history

Zettmannsdorf was first mentioned in a document in 1126 as "Scitemulesdorf". The castle and village were destroyed in the German Peasants' War in 1525, but were soon rebuilt.

As part of the regional reform in Bavaria, the place was incorporated on May 1, 1978 with the district Fröschhof after Schönbrunn in the Steigerwald .

church

Zettmannsdorf belongs to the Catholic parish of Schönbrunn. The village church was built in 1894.

In Zettmannsdorf, too, the volunteer fire brigade provides fire protection and general help. The sports club DKJ Zettmannsdorf / Oberneuses exists together with the neighboring town of Oberneuses.
