Styrian wine queen

from Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia

The Styrian wine queen represents the Styrian wine-growing and the country Weinbauverband Styria at events that serve the Styrian wine advertising.

In order to be eligible, an exam must be taken at the Silberberg viticulture school. The examination committee is made up of eight examiners and a chairman, with the examiners including teachers from the viticulture school, the viticulture director, the chairman of the viticulture association and the reigning wine queen.

The period of her reign is usually two years, a re-election of the queen is not possible. However, an elected area princess can stand for queen election after her reign has expired, as well as officiate as princess for a second period, unless a suitable candidate is made by the area.

Requirements for candidacy: The parents must own a wine-growing business, regardless of size. The applicant must be 18 to 25 years old, single and childless.
