Burgenland wine queen

from Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia

The Burgenland Wine Queen represents wine and viticulture in Burgenland . It has been chosen in Eisenstadt since 1965 - until 2010 at the Festival of 1000 Wines , and since then during the Wine and Gourmet Days . The election has been held every two years since 1968.

During the competition, the candidates are tested for their knowledge of wine and general knowledge. Burgenland's culture and politics as well as the situation in Austria as a whole as well as general world events are to be surveyed by a Burgenland wine queen. The second and third place winners support the Burgenland wine queen as wine princesses.

In the office of the Austrian Wine Queen , the Burgenland and Lower Austrian Wine Queens take turns every year.
