Stellan Mörner

Karl Stellan Gabriel Mörner af Morlanda (born February 3, 1896 in Örebro , Sweden , † February 1, 1979 in Saltsjöbaden ) was a Swedish count, painter , set designer , wood carver , graphic artist and writer .

Life

Mörner came from the Swedish branch of the German noble family Mörner . He lived in Saltsjö-Duvnäs, Nacka municipality .

Mörner studied from 1896 at the Stockholm Art Academy . He toured England , France , Italy and Tunis . Mörner was a surrealist painter who also made inlay work and belonged to the Halmstad group.

In 1938 he took part in the collective exhibition in Örebro . His works can be found in Halmstad Town Hall and the Uppsala City Library , among others .
