Stephan Bender (born June 2, 1989 in Ava , Missouri ) is an American film actor .

Short biography

Stephan Bender was born in Ava, a small town in Douglas County (Missouri), where he and his two sisters also spent his childhood and youth.

His love for acting was shown early on, so that he gained his first experience on stage in youth theater. At the age of 13, he was named Best Supporting Actor for his portrayal of Huckleberry Finn in a Tom Sawyer production . Nevertheless, Bender is one of the few young actors who completed a civil apprenticeship before starting their career; After two years of training, Bender is a trained plumber .

In 2005, Bender's family moved to Los Angeles , where director Bryan Singer became aware of the boy after a few auditions , and in 2006 he cast him as a young Clark Kent in the comic book adaptation of Superman Returns .
