Stephan Brandl

Stephan Brandl (born January 26, 1970 in Neukirchen near the Holy Blood ) is a German chef.

Career

Brandl completed his training in the “Berggasthof am Hohen Bogen”, which is close to his home, and then in various kitchens at the Steigenberger Hotels in Lam , Bad Griesbach and Frankfurt. From 1990 he worked as a chef, first again in Neukirchen in the "Burghotel am Hohen Bogen", then from 1994 to 1999 in the "Grauen Hasen" in Deggendorf .

From 1999 to 2001 he was head chef at Jean-Claude Bourgueil's “Restaurant im Schiffchen” in Düsseldorf, which was then awarded three Michelin stars . From 2001 to 2008 he was the owner of “Gut Apfelkam” in Rohrdorf , which was awarded a Michelin star in 2004. From February 2008 to May 2014 he was head chef alongside Heinz Winkler in his "Heinz Winkler Residence" in Aschau , which has been awarded two Michelin stars since 2009.

Brandl has been cooking near his home in the Bayerwaldhof wellness hotel near Bad Kötzting since mid-2014 .
