Stephan Cegielski

Stephan Caesar Zephirin Cegielski (born August 26, 1852 in Posen ; † January 29, 1921 there ) was an entrepreneur and member of the German Reichstag .

Life

Cegielski was the son of the machine manufacturer Hipolit Cegielski , attended secondary school in Poznan and graduated from high school in 1870. Until 1873 he attended the trade academy in Berlin . He traveled extensively and in 1879 became a second lieutenant in the reserve of the Posenen Uhlan Regiment No. 10, in 1897 he took his leave. Since 1876 he was director of his father's factory H. Cegielski - Poznań for the production of agricultural machines and equipment, steam engines, distilleries and boiler systems, which was founded in 1846. In 1899 he converted it into a stock company. He was also a member of the Poznan Chamber of Commerce for many years.

From 1884 to 1893 he was a member of the German Reichstag for the constituency of Posen 1 (city of Posen) and the Polish parliamentary group , from 1898 to 1903 he represented the constituency of Posen 4 (Kosten - Schmiegel - Grätz) as a member, and he was also from 1890 until 1904 member of the Prussian House of Representatives .
