Stephan Oetzinger

Stephan Oetzinger (born August 19, 1984 in Weiden in the Upper Palatinate ) is a German CSU politician .

Life

After graduating from Kepler-Gymnasium Weiden, Oetzinger studied history, political science, religious studies and theological anthropology at the University of Regensburg . He then did his doctorate at the University of Regensburg with Peter Schmid on "CSU policy on Germany".

Oetzinger was the first mayor of Mantel from 2012 to 2018 and lives there with his family. He is a member of the committees for science and art as well as for labor and social affairs. He has been a member of the Neustadt / WN district council since 2014. Since 2017 district chairman of the CSU district association Neustadt / WN.

From 2011 to 2019 he was deputy state chairman of the Junge Union Bayern.

In the state elections on October 14, 2018 , he was nominated as a direct candidate in the constituency Weiden idOPf. elected to the Bavarian state parliament. Oetzinger received 39.8 percent of the first votes. There Oetzinger is currently a member of the Committee for Labor and Social Affairs, Youth and Family and a member of the Committee for Science and Art.

In 2019 he took over the chairmanship of the support and sponsoring association of the Geo Center at the KTB Windischeschenbach.

In November 2019 he took over the state chairmanship of the CSU University and Culture Working Group (AKH) from Oliver Jörg .
