Stephanie Xu Sang

Stephanie Xu Sang (born September 29, 1986 in Harbin ) is an Australian table tennis player . She took part in two world championships and the 2008 Olympic Games.

Career

Stephanie Xu Sang was born in Harbin, China. She is right-handed and plays shakehand style. She has been flying the flag of Australia since 2003. That year she finished second behind Jia Jun from China in the World Junior Circuit . She was twice at world championships , namely in 2006 and 2007 , but did not come close to medal ranks.

She achieved several successes at the Oceania Championships: In 2006 she reached the semi-finals in singles and mixed games, in doubles with Miao Miao and with the team she came first. Also in 2010 she won with the Australian team, in doubles she was eliminated in the semi-finals.

In 2008 she qualified for the Olympic Games . Here she defeated Bose Kaffo from Nigeria in the individual competition , but then failed to Wu Xue from the Dominican Republic. With the team she came in 13th.

Her best placement in the ITTF world rankings was 125th in September 2005.
