Wu Xue (born March 22, 1980 in Beijing , China) is a Chinese table tennis player from the Dominican Republic. In 2004 and 2008 she took part in the Olympic Games.
Career
Wu Xue was born in China, but performed internationally for the Dominican Republic. Since 2003 she took part in five world championships (until 2012) without coming close to medal ranks. However, she won several titles at Latin American championships. In 2008 she won all competitions, singles, doubles with Lian Qian , mixed with Lin Ju and team competition. There are also first places in 2004, 2007 and 2011 in singles and in 2007 in mixed with Lin Ju.
In 2004 she qualified for the first time to take part in the Olympic Games . She survived the first round against the Russian Oksana Fadejewa , but then failed against the Japanese Ai Fujinuma. In 2008 she succeeded in qualifying again. Here she reached the quarterfinals by winning over Stephanie Xu Sang (Australia), Wang Yuegu (Singapore) and Gao Jun (USA), in which she lost to Guo Yue (China).
