Sterling Noel
Sterling Noel (born March 28, 1903 in San Francisco ; died November 9, 1984 in West Paris , Maine ) was an American science fiction writer and journalist.
He wrote two science fiction novels. The first, I Killed Stalin (1951) deals with the prevention of a third world war through the assassination of the Russian dictator Stalin in the near future. Stalin was still alive then and did not die until 1953. The second novel We Who Survived (1959) describes the onset of a new ice age and the escape of survivors to the warmer south by means of a nuclear-powered snowmobile . The novel was translated into German in 1964 under the title The Fifth Ice Age .
