In the center of the cross is a medallion surrounded by a green oak wreath , the front of which bears a golden eagle on a red enameled background, which is surrounded by a blue enamel ring, on which the motto IN FIDE SALUS is written in golden letters . On the back, the medallion bears the name of the donor CI (Carol I.). For military merit, crossed swords were inserted through the middle or between the cross and the crown.
