Stetten is a district of the municipality of Achstetten in the district of Biberach in Baden-Württemberg . The village lies on the edge of the elevated terrace to the right of the Rottal , about one and a half kilometers north of Achstetten.

history

The place is mentioned for the first time in 1181. In 1385 a castle was at least partially owned by the Lords of Freyberg . In 1385 they sold half of it to the Ulm citizen Peter Wagner, who in 1386/87 sold the entire village to the Wiblingen monastery . Through the secularization of the monastery, Bronnen came to Bavaria in 1803 and to Württemberg in 1806 , where the place was subordinated to the Oberamt Biberach and in 1810 to the Oberamt Wiblingen .

During the municipal reform in Baden-Württemberg , the formerly independent municipality of Stetten was incorporated into the municipality of Achstetten on January 1, 1975.
