Steven Michael Novak (born June 13, 1983 in Libertyville , Illinois ) is a retired American basketball player who was last under contract with the Milwaukee Bucks in the NBA . The forward is known for his high accuracy from the three-point line .

NBA career

In the 2006 NBA Draft , Novak was selected 32nd by the Houston Rockets . There he played the first two years of his career. In 2008 he moved to the Los Angeles Clippers , for whom he scored 6.9 points per game and hit a strong 41.6% from the triple line. After another, less successful year, he signed with the Dallas Mavericks . However, he was fired in the middle of the season and signed by the San Antonio Spurs shortly afterwards for the remainder of the season .

In December 2012, Novak signed with the New York Knicks . Novak had a very good season at the Knicks, scoring 8.8 points with a 47.2% three-goal rate, which was the best rate in the league. He also took third place with Kevin Durant in the three-point throws hit. Also in the next season Novak remained an important support from the bank.

On July 10, 2013 he was transferred to the Toronto Raptors together with Quentin Richardson for Andrea Bargnani .

A year later, the Raptors transferred Novak to the Utah Jazz . In early 2015, his move to the Oklahoma City Thunder was announced. From February 2016 to February 2017 he was under contract with the Milwaukee Bucks .
