Steven Burtt (born March 4, 1984 in New York City ) is an American - Ukrainian basketball player . He plays in the position of point guard at BK Spartak Saint Petersburg .
Career
After attending college in New York, Steven Burtt, whose father of the same name played in the National Basketball Association (NBA), signed up for the 2006 NBA draft . He wasn't selected by any NBA club and went to Europe. In the first four years in Europe, Burtt played at seven different clubs. At the beginning of the 2010/2011 season he moved to the Ukrainian Super League, first to Ferro-SNTU and then to BK Dnipro . As in 2010 with Ferro-SNTU, he was Ukrainian league cup champion with Dnipro in 2011. In the same year, Burtt took on Ukrainian citizenship and played for the Ukrainian national basketball team at the 2011 European Championships . Burtt was a participant in the Ukrainian All-Star Games in 2010, 2011 and 2012. In 2011 and 2012 he was voted MVP. After a season in Turkey with Tofas Bursa , Burtt first moved to Avtodor Saratow in the Superleague Russia . He has been playing for Spartak St. Petersburg since autumn 2013 .
