Stewart Adams (born September 16, 1904 in Calgary , Alberta , † May 18, 1978 ibid) was a Canadian ice hockey player (left winger) and coach who played for the Toronto Maple Leafs and Chicago Black Hawks in the National Hockey League .

Career

Stewart Adams began his career as a hockey player with the Minneapolis Millers, for which he first played in the Central Hockey League in 1925/26, then until 1930 in the American Hockey Association after the club had joined them. In his senior year he played there with his two-year-old brouter Clintion. In the 1929/30 season , the Canadian made his debut in the National Hockey League , in which he first played in three seasons for the Chicago Blackhawks .

The 1932/33 season began Adams with the Syracuse Stars from the International Hockey League and finished them with the Toronto Maple Leafs in the NHL. He played his first game with the Maple Leafs on December 29, 1932, when he represented the injured Charlie Conacher on the "Kid Line". After another year at his ex-club, the Minneapolis Millers from the CHL, Adams played two years with the Calgary Tigers from the North West Hockey League , where he ended his professional career in 1936. He worked as a player-coach in both Minneapolis and Calgary.
