The house Stieg 21 is a listed building in the city of Quedlinburg in Saxony-Anhalt .

It's located east of the city's market square and is a UNESCO World Heritage Site . It is registered as a residential building in the Quedlinburg monument register. House Stieg 20 , which is also listed, is adjacent to the east and Stieg 22 to the west.

Architecture and history

The core of the two-storey half - timbered house was built around 1500, making it the oldest building on the street. The roof structure of the house probably dates from the construction time. Originally, the house with the neighboring number 22 formed a building. A carved clasp has been preserved on the half-timbered facade . The house has mud-covered windboards . In addition, the beam heads are designed with a pear rod motif. This building is currently used as a lodge house by the St. John's Freemason's lodge "For constant freedom" in Quedlinburg. The house is open to the public on public and guest evenings.
