The Stitt River is a river in the northwest of the Australian state of Tasmania .
geography
River course
The river has its source on the northeast slopes of Gooseneck Hill , about 7 km southeast of Rosebery, and flows northwest. In Rosebery it crosses under the Murchison Highway and flows approx. 1 km west of the city into Lake Pieman and thus into the Pieman River .
