The Stockholm Nordic Vikings were a football team that competed in the Football League of Europe (FLE) in 1994 and 1995 .
The Stockholm Nordic Vikings were a kind of all-star team from Sweden . The team consisted of the core of the Swedish national football team and some reinforcements, including Björn Nittmo , a Swedish kicker with NFL and World League experience.
In the 1994 season, the Nordic Vikings were traded as a secret favorite and lived up to them. With only one defeat in nine wins in the group stage, they reached the play-offs. There they beat the Amsterdam Crusaders in the semifinals with 34:21 and won in the final, in front of 18,000 spectators in Hamburg 's Volksparkstadion , against the Hamburg Blue Devils with 43:35. In the 1995 final they beat the Bergamo Lions 14-0.
