Straight is the first solo album by the German singer Tobias Regner . The winner of the third season of Deutschland sucht den Superstar moves stylistically in the rock scene.
success
The album reached number one in the German album charts in the week of May 12th to 18th, 2006 . Half a year after it was released, it also broke the 100,000 sold album mark and thus achieved gold status .
Single releases
I still burn
The song was written by Peter Wright and Jess Cates. It is Regner's winning title from the final of Deutschland sucht den Superstar on March 18, 2006, when the title was presented for the first time. The song was not composed directly for Regner, but was bought in advance by RTL. I Still Burn was still very popular. After its release on March 24th, the song reached number one in the German single charts on April 7th, where it stayed until June 5th. It also reached the top of the charts in Switzerland and Austria.
She's so
The style of the song is much more rocking than the ballad I Still Burn . Many fans took offense at the music video in which Regner wildly kisses a woman and rolls around on a bed. He was accused of having been unfaithful to himself with this self-expression.
Cool without you
The German theme song of the American cartoon Jagdfieber was released on November 3, 2006. It is only included on the re-edition of Straight .

The album was initially available in three different versions: The Basic Edition contains all twelve tracks, but no booklet . The Standard Edition consists of a booklet, the CD and the additional song My First Time . In addition to the additional song, the Premium Edition also contains I Still Burn in an additional acoustic version. There is also the music video for I Still Burn and a photo gallery on this CD .
On November 17, 2006, the re-edition of the album came on the market. This edition contains the third single Cool without You , all previously shot music videos and three new songs with the titles Who Wants the World , Color-blind and Succeed .

Concert tour
Together with his DSDS colleague Mike Leon Grosch , Tobias Regner went on a month-long tour of Germany entitled Absolute Straight in 2006 . The two words of this name correspond to the album titles of Grosch ( Absolute ) and Regner. The last concert took place on June 14th in Braunschweig .
