Stratos Constantinidis

Stratos E. Constantinidis ( Greek Στράτος Ε. Κωνσταντινίδης ), (born November 13, 1949 in Thessaloniki ) is a Greek theater scholar and Neo-Graecist .

After training in acting and directing at Charatsari's Theater School and a degree in English from the Aristotle University of Thessaloniki , Constantinidis began studying theater studies at the Department of Communication and Theater Arts at the University of Iowa in 1978 , where he received his Ph.D. PhD. Today he teaches dramatic theory and criticism in the Department of Theater at Ohio State University . He is co-editor of the academic journals Text & Presentation , Journal of Modern Greek Studies and Theater Studies .

Constantinidis works on critical theory and theater historiography , on the methodology of performance sciences and in the creative field ( dramaturgy , translation , adaptation , screenplay production ). Special fields are modern Greek theater and modern Greek film .
