The Strawn Pass is a mountain pass in Marie Byrd Land in West Antarctica . On the south side of McDonald Heights , it connects the head ends of the Kirkpatrick Glacier and the Johnson Glacier .
The United States Geological Survey mapped it using its own surveys and aerial photographs of the United States Navy from 1958 to 1969. The Advisory Committee on Antarctic Names named it in 1974 after the glaciologist Lawrence W. Strawn, who was on the from 1967 to 1968 Byrd station was operating.
