1 1 The car park Oct 11, 2004 Arne Feldhusen Ralf Husmann
The Capitol Insurance is the location of a TV documentary. A camera team follows the day-to-day office work of the claims settlement department M to Z, which is headed by Bernd Stromberg, with the camera. Stromberg, of course, wants his team to always be shown from the best side, especially since his supervisor, Ms. Berkel, tells him that his team is under special observation as part of a restructuring of the claims settlement departments. But Stromberg rarely succeeds in putting the department in a good light. An obscene drawing by Tanja Seifert, a clerk, is discovered on the toilet. Berthold Heisterkamp, who is always called Ernie by his colleagues, takes on the search for perpetrators by asking colleagues questions about the course of events and having drawings of the same motif drawn on a flipchart. Stromberg is trying to get a better parking space on the company's premises. During a conversation, Stromberg offers his colleague Hilpers, who is responsible for the company parking lot, a cigar - to influence his decision - although he knows that he suffers from severe asthma . “Röchel-Hilpers” ends up in the hospital and dies. Stromberg, who is accused by Hilpers' wife of having rammed her car, takes care of the poor woman, but he also makes her an immoral proposal during the conversation. A video from a surveillance camera shows that Stromberg actually rammed Ms. Hilpers' car. He pays the damage to the widow in cash. When Stromberg wants to draw an organizational chart for the department on the flipchart in the presence of Ms. Berkel, the collected drawings of the colleagues that Ernie had made come to light. Tanja is deeply hurt and angry. Due to the distinctive shape of the “j”, Stromberg is ultimately exposed as the author of the drawing by Tanja in the toilet.
2 2 Fire alarm Oct 18, 2004 Arne Feldhusen Ralf Husmann & Aglef Püschel
Stromberg's colleague and strongest competitor in the fight for the overall management of the claims adjustment department, Sinan Turçulu, has passed professional training with a top result and is highly praised by Ms. Berkel for this. Stromberg's department, however, again attracts negative attention during a fire alarm when Ms. Berkel discovers that Stromberg has apparently still not appointed a fire protection officer, although she had pointed this out to him a few months earlier. Stromberg spontaneously decides that Ulf Steinke will take over this position with immediate effect. However, Ulf is reluctant to accept this decision. In order to be able to leave a good impression on Ms. Berkel again, Stromberg plans to give her a special present for her birthday. However, his idea to give her a massage chair goes completely wrong. Mrs. Berkel discovers the armchair in Stromberg's office and asks him to remove it from the office immediately. Still looking for a present, Stromberg gets wind that Turçulu is bidding on tickets for a Robbie Williams concert on the internet auction platform eBay . He doesn't want to miss this top gift. He found the offer on the Internet, and when there were only a few seconds left to bid, he manipulated the fire alarm in his office with a lighter so that another fire alarm was triggered. Ulf works as a fire protection officer and gathers the whole team - except for Stromberg - in front of the company. Stromberg remains in his office and quietly makes the last and successful bid for the concert tickets.
3 3 mobbing Nov 8, 2004 Arne Feldhusen Ralf Husmann & David von Felten
The canteen chef exposes Stromberg to his colleagues and, even worse, to his competitor Turçulu. Stromberg can't let that sit on him. He urges his team to boycott the canteen for the next few days. Ernie feels bullied by his colleagues. Stromberg goes to the Italian restaurant with Tanja. Ernie comes up and tells him about the bullying. Stromberg calls the kitchen and pretends to be an employee of the health department. He orders mice, which is discovered by Berkel.
4th 4th The birthday Nov 15, 2004 Arne Feldhusen Ralf Husmann, David von Felten
As a wheelchair user, Mr. Fritsche is entitled to Stromberg's new parking lot on E2. Stromberg, on the other hand, sticks to his parking lot so much that Mr. Fritsche hands the matter over to the works council. It's Ulf's birthday. Sabine Buhrer from the works council urges Ulf to register for the training in good time. At the same time, Stromberg Ulf is hoping for a promotion.
5 5 The good deed Nov 22, 2004 Arne Feldhusen Ralf Husmann

6th 6th theft Nov 29, 2004 Arne Feldhusen Ralf Husmann & Matthias Schmitt
Because employee thefts have increased, Stromberg should take a closer look at his department. During a one-on-one conversation with Erika, it turns out that she has stolen toner for the printer several times. Berkel calls on Stromberg to fire Erika. Stromberg needs them, however, in order not to lose an important customer. Stromberg then told his boss that Erika had breast cancer .
7th 7th The promotion Dec 13, 2004 Arne Feldhusen Ralf Husmann & Moritz Netenjakob
Stromberg is to organize a supporting program for the company party. In the claims settlement department, a source close to the works council leaked that a dismissal should be pending. Ernie becomes so nervous that his stress culminates in a circulatory collapse. Stromberg negotiates with Mr. Kitter, the manager of the pop singer Roland Kaiser ; However, the meeting is not successful because Stromberg considers the fee to be excessive. Ulf encourages Stromberg to act as an entertainer himself, which ultimately works very well. Stromberg fails to decide which of his employees from the department should be terminated. The decision is then taken from him. Finally, Stromberg signs a paper presented to him without looking closely, so that Erika should be terminated again.
8th 8th The last day Dec 20, 2004 Arne Feldhusen Ralf Husmann
Erika celebrates her strike. In the meantime, Stromberg is moving up in the application process for the overall management of his and Turçulus departments. After an assessment center , it is decided that the position for the overall management will be advertised again and given to an external employee.

Stromberg is staying at the Capitol because he has still not found a new apartment. Theo Hölter, an old school friend of his, appears in the Capitol. He records Stromberg in his apartment for a short time. According to Mr. Becker, Ernie should work on his “social skills”. So he founds a lottery syndicate that even wins several hundred euros in the evening draw. Since Stromberg's tip was the right one, he claims the profit for himself, although it belongs to the entire syndicate. Theo is a promoter who provides the entire department with free tickets for a concert by the still unknown band “Hypernoise”. However, Ernie organized a lottery party that evening. Tanja kindly leaves her apartment to the band members of Hypernoise to spend the night, otherwise they would have no place to stay. Meanwhile, Tanja stays with a friend. He tries in vain to get Ernie to give a false statement in order to exonerate himself. A committee is then formed, which consists mainly of female members of the HR department and the works council. The recordings made by the camera team, which document the processes in the office, are also evaluated. The sexual harassment can be seen more or less clearly on it. Stromberg is threatened with termination without notice. On the advice of Mr. Becker, Stromberg went to Ms. N'yangasongwa in her apartment to apologize to her. He is physically attacked by the cleaning woman's husband, which ultimately leads to the appearance of the police and the deportation of Ms. N'yangasongwa to her home country due to the lack of a residence permit.

Idea: Lars Albaum

Idea: Sonja Schönemann
During the carnival season, the pressure on the departments increases. In order to impress Wehmeyer, Stromberg claims that his department can also take over the entire accident consolidation, but underestimates how much work this actually means. Some employees want to inform the works council without first knowing that Stromberg himself is behind the idea. Mr. Becker is also not enthusiastic about it. Ernie makes himself popular in the department by handing out sandwiches for free.

Jochen Schüller, the photo reporter for the in-house newspaper Capitol Intern, flirts with Stromberg as a homosexual without the latter suspecting of his intentions. Erika is ensnared by the sales representative, Mr Wiebrecht, and is supposed to help him correct a serious error in the accounting. Mr. Wiebrecht invites Erika to dinner, but she does not appear. Her colleagues had previously convinced her that he was only interested in her so that she could iron out his accounting error. Stromberg reveals to Wehmeyer that Jochen is gay.

A visit from the headquarters is announced. Ernie brings "Lulu", his late mother's dog, into the office. Because Ulf has already given notice of his own apartment but has not yet found a flat with Tanja, he is moving his private property into the department's premises. As a member of the internal auditing department, Rudi Wippermann from head office checks the individual departments to see whether everything is being done according to regulations. 27 1 Relationships Nov 3, 2009 Arne Feldhusen Ralf Husmann
Stromberg has meanwhile worked with Wehmeyer and Dr. Nübel, a manager from the human resources department, was made popular. He beckoned to be promoted to overall manager, as Becker is also promoted. The feeling of an imminent promotion inspires Stromberg. Once again he promises Ulf that he will be able to take over his position and campaigns for him at Wehmeyer. A party is thrown in the department after Stromberg's promotion. Ulf is already planning how he will redesign Stromberg's office when he takes over his position. Jennifer Schirrmann is caught having oral sex with Stromberg in the office . Stromberg continues to insult the canteen cook, for which he was previously warned by Wehmeyer. The cook then complains to the company's board of directors. Since the cook's cousin is on the board of directors of the Capitol, Stromberg is demoted and transferred to Finsdorf, a desolate village nearby. There he is to take over the management of a branch office with two employees. Becker is again temporarily forwarding the department and offers Tanja to succeed Stromberg, which Ulf visibly shakes. In parallel to Stromberg's fate, Ernie alias Berthold Heisterkamp is being followed, who is becoming more and more depressed and apathetic.
28 2 Finsdorf Nov 3, 2009 Arne Feldhusen Ralf Husmann
Stromberg first wants to prove himself in Finsdorf and boost the number of deals, but soon has to adjust the expectations downwards again. At the same time, he tries to use Tanja Seifert's initial difficulties in her new position in his favor: Ulf does not accept Tanja as boss; by telling a colleague that he “just screwed away” the new seating plan, he undermines her authority. Some other employees don't take Tanja as a manager very seriously either and want to swap places. Ulf plays office ball with his colleagues. In the hustle and bustle, Tanja’s nerves are soon bare and during lunch in the canteen she also offends Jennifer Schirrmann by alluding to her affair with Stromberg. Stromberg does field sales with Ms. Prellwitz and receives more schnapps than interest in the insurance offers submitted from Bauer Overbeck, since the farmer has previously found cheaper insurance on the Internet. Bernd visits Jennifer and his former subordinates, where he tries to take advantage of the situation in his favor. He incites Ulf and Jennifer and causes the two to complain to Becker about Tanja. When Becker arrives “by chance”, he sees through Stromberg's transparent intentions and assures that Tanja will get support from him. Meanwhile, Ernie and his mental health problems are getting worse and worse, including a suicide attempt in the car, which Stromberg accidentally discovered and thwarted. With this, Bernd Stromberg sees the upper water again, and when farmer Overbeck finally concludes several policies with the Capitol, the situation for Stromberg seems to be developing better and better.
29 3 Pastoral care Nov 10, 2009 Arne Feldhusen Ralf Husmann & Dietmar Jacobs
Since everyday work in Finsdorf is not as stressful as it is in the city, Joachim invites one of his colleagues from the volunteer fire department to the office. Stromberg doesn't like that at all, he initially insults him as a “village nose”. The situation is brought under control by Joachim and Stromberg then drives to the Capitol to meet his old colleagues. Ernie has now reached a point where he needs professional help, but instead Stromberg reluctantly takes him to Finsdorf to prove “that the department is important to him”. Ernie feels visibly more at home here, because Ms. Prellwitz and Joachim treat him like a work colleague and not like a problem child. Jennifer's mood improves as Ernie is actually feeling better with the change of job, and she agrees to meet Stromberg for dinner. Meanwhile, Mr. Becker has to gradually criticize Tanja because none of the employees is constantly at his workplace and cannot be reached that way. Ulf confirms this criticism by getting a projector for a romantic video evening despite Tanja's request to stay at work. To justify his absence, he claims in front of Mr. Becker that the projector was used internally, which is why the video evening has to take place in the office, which can be seen in the last scene. In the evening, Stromberg goes to an inn in Finsdorf, the "Ochsen", with Jennifer. Here he meets Joachim with his fire brigade regulars table, which includes Ernie and Joachim's friend, who was insulted by Stromberg that morning. Stromberg is asked very brutally to leave the bar, and out of anger about it, he pulls Ernie in front of the fire brigade regulars table and leaves no private detail out. Ernie runs away, and Jennifer's mood is now in the basement too.
30th 4th Helge Nov 10, 2009 Arne Feldhusen Ralf Husmann, Tankred Lerch & Christian Martin
Although Stromberg can't really do much with children and occasionally calls Helge disparagingly “fart knots” or “Helga”, he declares himself ready to take care of Helge for an afternoon in order to bail Jennifer out of a childcare facility that has been canceled at short notice and to prove to her that the well-being of other people is also important to him. Because Helge is interested in cars, Stromberg lets him drive a few laps himself in his car. Finally, the two end up in Finsdorf, where the Capitol employees all fail to explain the simplest fraction calculation to Helge. Stromberg then gives Helge a tip on how he can cheat on his upcoming math work. But Helge is promptly caught by the teacher, Jennifer's gratitude for the initially successful afternoon turns into anger and anger towards Stromberg.
31 5 Couple evening Nov 17, 2009 Arne Feldhusen Ralf Husmann & Sonja Schönemann
Tanja receives an award for special achievement for a billing system she has proposed, which is endowed with 3000 €. Ulf, however, believes that Tanja is neglecting him in her new position. In the meantime, Stromberg tries to work on his relationship with Jennifer and sends her a package with erotic massage oil and a bikini that is accidentally opened by colleagues. Jennifer is visibly embarrassed about this; she finally gives the gift back to Stromberg. When tensions between Tanja and Ulf arise again, Stromberg - not entirely unselfishly - suggests a couple's evening to which he would also like to take Jennifer, who previously complained that she and Stromberg had no mutual friends. When Stromberg tries to confess his feelings to Jennifer in a bar, Tanja's cell phone rings and interrupts it. She is called to the office because Ernie attacked a cleaning lady who asked him late at night to stop his work so she can clean the office. The next day Stromberg wants to confess his feelings to Jennifer again. He persuaded a colleague to play the song I Just Called to Say I Love You by Stevie Wonder on a keyboard . When Stromberg falls on his knees to propose to her, Jennifer hurries out of the office.
32 6th Sally Nov 24, 2009 Arne Feldhusen Ralf Husmann & Moritz Netenjakob
After the unsuccessful engagement application, Stromberg brings Jennifer to work. However, Jennifer is no longer interested in a relationship with Stromberg. In Finsdorf, Ms. Prellwitz made Stromberg aware of an insurance application from table dancer Ute (artist name Sally), who would like to insure her body in the event of a loss of work. At first Stromberg waves him off, but when Ms. Prellwitz shows him photos of Sally, he pays her a home visit to clarify insurance details. In the evening he visits Jennifer again at the Capitol and tells her about his new acquaintance in order to make her jealous. Ernie still has the impression that the entire department doesn't like him except for Tanja. Meanwhile, Ulf is planning his bachelor party. Stromberg also gets wind of it and suggests to Ulf that instead of organizing a bowling evening, it is better to celebrate in a strip bar called "Knusperhäuschen", where Sally also happens to work. In Finsdorf, Stromberg Sally offers term life insurance instead of insurance for her body, which, however, only pays in the event of an amputation. Sally strips in the Capitol for Ulf, which is not met with enthusiasm by Tanja, who comes later. Stromberg's plan to make Jennifer jealous with the attractive Sally fails: Out of pity, she goes out for a drink with Ernie in the evening and Stromberg is left alone.
33 7th Gernot Dec 1, 2009 Franziska Meletzky Ralf Husmann, Tankred Lerch & Christian Martin
Joachim introduces Stromberg to his cousin Gernot Graf, who is applying to succeed Joachim in Finsdorf. Gernot lacks an arm and he has very bad manners and poor skills. Stromberg rejects him. Meanwhile, there are dissatisfaction between Tanja, Ulf and Mr. Becker, as Mr. Becker asks Tanja to postpone her honeymoon with Ulf, because there is currently a lack of staff in the Capitol. Stromberg then suggests Gernot as a replacement, with the aim of weakening Tanja's department even more. Stromberg processes the application documents in such a way that they make Gernot appear in a somewhat better light. Gernot misbehaves in the department and doesn't stop at insulting his colleagues. Only with Ernie he gets along very well, plays darts with him and helps him to refresh his ego a little. Stromberg incites Gernot against the department on the one hand and the department against Gernot on the other. But when Gernot sexually harassed Jennifer by touching her, Stromberg is violent and fights him in the hallway. Due to this and a subsequent summary of his professional incompetence by Mr. Becker, the employment relationship between Gernot and the Capitol is terminated, to Ernie's regret. However, Jennifer is impressed that Stromberg has fought for her and kisses him.
34 8th The return Dec 15, 2009 Franziska Meletzky Ralf Husmann
Since there is still a shortage of staff in the Capitol, Mr. Becker allows Stromberg to be allowed back on a representative basis while Tanja and Ulf are still on their honeymoon. After a failed attempt to enter his old office, which is locked since it is now Tanja's office, he reluctantly gives himself up to sit down with the other employees. Here he tries very hard to get the seat next to Jennifer, but Ernie strictly refuses to let him have it. Ernie repeatedly quotes his psychologist as saying that he is "unique and valuable". After a short time, Jennifer's ex-husband suddenly appears in the office to pick up Helge. This leads to an argument between him and Stromberg, who wants to protect Jennifer and is then rewarded by her with a kiss. Ernie is obviously a little interested in Sabine from accounting and Jennifer promises to put in a good word for him if he leaves his place to Stromberg. After some time, Jennifer's ex-husband enters the office again, shows his sensible side and suggests a weekend for three with Helge. In contrast to Stromberg, she is taken with this idea. Because Ernie in a webcam acts conference between employees of the Capitol and the couple Steinke quite a panic Tanja ( "All find your new system doof", "Stromberg sitting here now and I on Ulf's place" ...), they break the honeymoon from and the next day they are both back in the office. While Ulf is pushing his limits emotionally, Mr. Becker and Tanja decide together to send Stromberg back to Finsdorf, and because of all the work that has accumulated during that time, Jennifer has to do without her weekend. Stromberg leaves the office furious and is now back in Finsdorf.
35 9 Mr. Nehring Dec 22, 2009 Franziska Meletzky Ralf Husmann & Moritz Netenjakob
Stromberg was able to report several insurance contracts to the head office and was given a bottle of wine out of gratitude. In an arrogant manner, however, he refuses to pay the damage to Mr. Nehring, who is known as an influential resident of Finsdorf. In solidarity with Mr. Nehring, many people from Finsdorf cancel their insurance, which puts Stromberg in dire straits. He feels compelled to get more involved in Finsdorf community life. He succeeds, partly threatening, partly pleading, in persuading Tanja to withdraw the rejection of Nehring's application after all - in violation of regulations. At the same time he suggests Jennifer to spend a nice evening with him again. When he explains to her that he wants to take part in a local council meeting in Finsdorf, she realizes the ulterior motive, but agrees to help him. The relationship between Tanja and Ulf continues to deteriorate, while Ernie has fallen in love with a young woman from the self-help group who finds him particularly attractive because of his depression. Stromberg informs Nehring that he has approved his application, takes part in the council meeting and steps in as a baritone in the community choir. With charm, jovial mood songs, fake Finsdorf patriotism and lots of alcohol, he manages to win back the hearts of some Finsdorfers. When Becker found out about the approval, he knocked Tanja down and regretted the decision to have promoted her. This then collapses and gets a crying fit. Stromberg falls coldly in the back and agrees with Becker. For this Jennifer despises him, who stands by Tanja in this matter. In the final scene, Ernie can be seen smooching with his new flame Mia.
36 10 The billing Dec 29, 2009 Franziska Meletzky Ralf Husmann
When Stromberg had to put on a friend's foul-smelling rifle club jacket to pose for a photo for the Finsdorfer rifle club newspaper, a fuse blows for him. He decides to take back "his" department and staged a commemorative event there on the day of Erika's death, which he generously brought forward by a few days. Tanja is currently in a meeting. Stromberg pours a lot of alcohol and thus ensures that the entire department does not process the important figures for Tanja. Ulf thoughtlessly informed Stromberg beforehand that high managers would come to the department to see Tanja's Powerpoint presentation; afterwards Stromberg is unobserved in the presentation room with Tanja's computer for a few minutes. When Tanja sees the Erika memorial party, her collar bursts; she loudly refers the employees to their places and Stromberg of the department. Ernie receives a warning because he did not take the obligation to perform the job so seriously. Stromberg manages to portray Tanja as heartless towards Erika, and the department turns against Tanja. Ulf does not recognize Stromberg's tactics either and is disloyal to his wife. When Tanja calls a department meeting, Stromberg reappears to disturb her; She then calls the security service and Stromberg is taken out with the help of a security guard. At the same time, the newly arrived Becker yells at him and bans him from the house. Stromberg sneaks into the canteen and instigates a mutiny among the department employees. When the senior managers appear to see Tanja's presentation, Stromberg just shows up and ignores Becker's advice that he is banned from the house. In relation to the managers, he successfully represents the image of a competent and human manager, while Tanja fails grandly: someone must have interspersed her presentation with ridiculous images when she was not there. The episode ends with a shaken Tanja crying in Ulf's arms and a visibly satisfied Bernd Stromberg, who has taken over the management of the department. Ernie's relationship with Mia has solidified.
