Strontium tellurite is an inorganic chemical compound of strontium from the group of tellurites .

Extraction and presentation

Strontium tellurite can be obtained by reacting strontium oxide with tellurium dioxide .

It is also possible to react a solution of strontium (II) chloride with sodium tellurite to form the monohydrate.

This can also be represented by reacting a solution of strontium (II) chloride with tellurium dichloride .

properties

Strontium tellurite is a colorless ferroelectric solid. The compound exists in several crystal structures. The low-temperature variant has a crystal structure with the space group C 2 / c (space group no. 15) . The high-temperature forms also have a monoclinic crystal structure. Template: room group / 15
