Stuart Curtis

Stuart Curtis (* 19 July 1954 in Chicago , † 6. November 2012 in Corvallis (Oregon) ) was an American jazz - saxophonist .

Stuart Curtis lived for a while in Europe, where he worked in various bands and orchestras, a. a. as accompanist for the musical Cats in Hamburg . In 1984 he recorded with Michael Moore and Michael Vatcher in the Netherlands ( Available Jelly ); as a studio musician he worked for the pop singer Nik Kershaw ( The Riddle ). In 1987 he worked on the soundtrack album for the feature film The Shatterer . In 1998 he moved to Corvallis where he was the Service Department Manager of Gracewinds Music . In later years he worked full time as a nurse at the Regency Albany Nursing Home ; in addition, he led various bands in Corvallis and the surrounding area. Curtis died in November 2012 of complications from a heart attack .
